SCANDINAVIAN FOLK MUSIC
Amy's interest in Scandinavian folk music was sparked when the band Väsen first performed at the Wintergrass Bluesgrass Festival in 2008. Amy was captivated by the nyckelharpa, and six years later had saved up enough to buy her own. She attended a workshop with Olov Johansson in 2014, who told her about a school in Sweden where he taught. Later that year she packed her bags and headed to Tobo, Sweden, to study at the Eric Sahlström Institute for a year with some of the best folk musicians in Scandinavia.
